Conference scope

Catalytic activation of molecules offers a wide range of opportunities to promote the production of sustainable and alternative chemicals and fuels . A main aspect of this field lies in understanding what are the requirements for a catalytic active site to perform efficiently. This question is fundamental in the design and synthesis of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts for such applications. Answering this difficult question also requires using advanced characterization techniques in order to study the catalysts and their performance during reaction. We hope that this conference will be a platform for collaboration among scientists with overlapping and complementary interests in order to engineer the best catalysts for activating small molecules.

The conference program will focus on the topics:

  • Heterogeneous and Homogeneous Catalysis
  • Reactivity of small molecules, including H2O, CH4, CO2, and N2.
  • Modeling Catalysis

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS OPEN UNTIL    JULY 15th.

You are cordially invited to participate in the “Catalysis: Small Molecules, Big Challenges”, which strives to bring together scientists whose focus area is catalysis for utilizing small molecules toward generating useful chemicals.

“Catalysis: Small Molecules, Big Challenges”, September 8-11 2019

We encourage researchers and developers to submit their contributions (posters) and to attend the meeting.
